Anderson High School student dies, cause of death under investigation

Anderson High School is mourning the loss of one of its students who died early Tuesday morning.School officials said the cause of the student's death is still under investigation. The district said it's providing support for students from district staff, school counselors, school psychologists and other mental health professionals."The health and wellness of all students remains our highest priority at FHSD and administrators understand the importance of wellness. As such, the district has full-time school counselors and mental health specialists at each building who will continue to provide support for students and staff. In situations like this, the district utilizes the FHSD Traumatic Event Crisis Intervention Team (TECIP) which includes support from district staff, school counselors, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals," the school said in a statement.Citing respect for the family, school officials said they won't be releasing additional details at this time.
