UC fans react to perfect season, AAC championship


History is made in Cincinnati.A perfect regular season capped with a conference championship and fans were positive this was how the game would end."We can't lose. We can't lose," said UC sophomore Jacob Scydlyk.Bars in Clifton were packed with fans drunk on good football fortune.While over in Nippert, there was an atmosphere like never before with a crowd on edge."It was a great atmosphere here in Nippert tonight. I mean the crowd was fantastic. They were loud. I think they made a big difference," said Dan Flynn.The energy was electric as fans soaked in the dominant performance and post-game celebrations.Thousands stood shoulder to shoulder on the field with confetti falling around them. "Never seen anything like it. Everybody flying out of the student section and every other side of the stadium and ending up on the field. It's unbelievable," said alum Adam Eisenberg.Current and former students, Bearcats one and all, proud to support this team."You can't beat this. I've waited my whole life for this," said David Macejko."This is just euphoria," Eisenberg said.Confidence levels have never been higher for UC football."We're going to win the National Championship," Scydlyk said. "Oh, we're feeling good. We're feeling good. We're going to the playoffs, baby. UC all the way," said UC senior Alec Decuir.
