Cincinnati officer shoots suspect after stabbing inside apartment


A man accused of stabbing two people at an apartment complex in Westwood was shot in the leg by a Cincinnati police officer Thursday, Executive Assistant Police Chief Terri Theetge with Cincinnati police confirmed. It happened around 12:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on Lafueille Circle when officers got a 911 call from someone inside an apartment.When they arrived, Cincinnati police officers said they found a man and a woman stabbed inside one of the apartments. Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officers gave commands for the suspect on the scene to drop a knife.That's when one of the officers deployed a stun gun and another shot the suspect reportedly in the leg. The suspect was taken to UC Hospital in stable condition.No officers were injured in the shooting.Officers said they will be investigating the incident along with the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office and CCA.This is a breaking news story, WLWT will continue to update with more information as it comes in.
