Rain on Thanksgiving
12 18 and if you are headed to your travel destination today um it's looking like it's gonna be very cold one out on the road but fortunately that rain is going to impact. Yeah, meteorologist Federico has more. Yeah so let's talk about the forecast for the upcoming week because plenty of things going on between today and on in through the weekend. The weather is obviously in Cincinnati different every day. Right? So tell your relatives coming to town to pack everything because cold weather is gonna be the rule though as we head through the next couple of days, the big travel day tomorrow partly cloudy and dry. It will be the warmest day of the week here in Cincinnati but only low fifties. So kind of average for this time of year as we get into thanksgiving day first thing in the morning, if you are an early morning runner you'll probably have the best weather of the day. There's some spotty rain in the first few hours of the morning but by mid morning. So by the time of the thanksgiving day run which starts at I believe around nine a.m. I would expect the rain to be becoming more widespread by that point that will continue through lunchtime and then as we get into the afternoon hours, still some steady showers becoming more scattered late afternoon and ending likely between about six and eight p.m. On thanksgiving day grand total of about a quarter to maybe a half inch of rainfall. So a wet thanksgiving day for you as we head into black friday once that rain moves out, it opens the doors for even colder air to move in. So if you are running out to get those doorbusters first thing in the morning, it will be in the 20 is not that it's much better in the afternoon temperatures still kind of hanging out near freezing most of the afternoon. And if you're joining us on Fountain Square friday night for light up the square, I'm calling it a festive chill. That's a nice way to say where your winter hat, wear gloves, bring the hand warmers. It's going to be in the upper twenties on friday night. So let's see where we are right now. We've made it to the mid thirties after starting out at 20 degrees this morning. And as we take a look through the afternoon, maybe you're running around to the market or tonight. The Hyde Park has our turkey, Turkey Tuesday at the farmer's market. It's a great way to get some extra sides and some pies and temperatures will be in the thirties for that. So plan on a cool evening for us. Here is the live radar high pressure is still in control and aside from some Lincoln hand snow showers in northern portions of pennsylvania and portions of new york. We have pretty quiet conditions here today. So the future cast will show clear skies for us through the afternoon. If you're getting on the road today. No worries. As for tomorrow, the big travel day temperatures into the fifties, you'll notice clouds moving into our region, but really not just here in the midwest, but across the country there really aren't very many systems that will impact travel plans on Wednesday. As we get into thursday, you can see this next cold front starting to get itself organized and that will be bringing us rain as we head into thursday. So the future cast for thursday morning showing some spotty showers before the sun comes up. But by mid morning or so, most towns including downtown Cincinnati, we'll have a steadier rain in place. Same thing for lunchtime then into the middle of the afternoon. I think this particular model holds onto the ranged a little bit too long, but between about six p.m. And eight p.m. On thursday night, those rain showers move out and the colder air starts to move in. So for tonight we're dropping to 28 degrees clear skies and very cold, but not as cold as it was this morning for tomorrow, 42 degrees chilly sunshine should be a decent day. Tomorrow with the temperatures climbing up to 53 actually for Wednesday, little breakdown of your Wednesday here, eight a.m. 30 degrees at noon, 47 then mid afternoon around 52 thursday is our weather impact day. Again, rain starts in the morning moves out in the evening as for friday, it will be chilly for light up the square, temperatures likely to be in the upper twenties as they light that tree on Fountain Square. As for the weekend, I'm keeping my eye on sunday. As of right now. It looks like the potential for assistant to be moving through our region that could bring some rain showers here to Cincinnati and maybe end as some snow. So if you're headed to the Bengals and Steelers game on sunday, rain showers, cold rain at the start of the game and maybe rain changing to a mix of snow will keep a very close eye on that as we head toward the weekend, meghan and Colin. All right, randy. Thank you know. Huh? Mm hmm. Mhm. Yeah.
