

A woman's signal for help led to the arrest of a man accused of assaulting her while holding her captive in a hotel room in Blue Ash, according to court documents.The Blue Ash Police Department said officers where dispatched to the 5900 block of Pfeiffer Road for a welfare check after a call came in from a front desk attendant of the hotel.The attendant said she noticed a man and a woman and the woman "looked unwell." The attendant said when she asked the woman if she was okay, the woman used body language to indicate that something was wrong and that's when the attendant called 911. Court documents state the man, identified as George Onjre, 20, went to the woman's hotel room and refused to leave when she asked. The victim said Onjre physically and sexually assaulted her, not letting her leave the room or call for help.Court documents state Onjre repeatedly tried to harm himself as well. Once she was able to leave the room, that's when the woman signaled to the attendant that she needed help and the attendant called 911, police said.When officers arrived at the hotel room, Onjre answered the door. While he was being questioned, he attempted to jump out of the sixth-floor window, but bounced off the reinforced glass and was taken into custody.He has been charged with rape and kidnapping. “We want to assure the public that this was not a random kidnapping,” Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel said. “The victim and suspect were known to each other.” The victim was transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

“We want to assure the public that this was not a random kidnapping,” Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel said. “The victim and suspect were known to each other.”
