Student detained after making threat at Milford Junior High


A student has been detained after school officials said he was heard making a threat at Milford Junior High School.School officials said the student was walking out of the school when he yelled, "I'm going to start a school shooting."Students who heard the threat immediately reported it to school officials.Administrations along with the Miami Township School Resource Officer responded to the threat and detained the student."These kinds of threats are taken very seriously and will not be tolerated," Principal Misty Goetz said in a statement.Goetz said no students were in danger at any point during the incident."Please take time to speak with your children about the severity of making comments like this, even in a joking manner. We cannot ever assume that a threat like this is ever a joke, and again, we take them all very seriously," Geotz said.
