Colerain Township police have identified the woman struck and killed by a pickup truck in a parking lot of Kroger on Springdale Road Thursday afternoon.
Janice Bennett, 65, was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center following the crash. Police said she died from her injuries later that day.
Investigators said the crash happened as a Ford 150 was traveling west through the Kroger parking lot and was turning south to exit onto Springdale Road. At the same time, Bennett was walking east through the lot.
According to investigators, as the truck turned, Bennett walked in front of the truck and was struck.
Speed and impairment are not believed to be factors in the crash, according to police.
