Odell Beckham Jr.’s addition to the Los Angeles Rams was intended to further bolster and already potent offense. But now, the wide receiver will be tasked with filling a significant void. The Rams on Friday lost one of their most reliable weapons, ninth-year veteran wide receiver Robert Woods, to a torn ACL, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had not officially announced the injury. Woods, who this season had 45 catches for 556 yards and four touchdowns in the first half of the season, suffered the injury in practice. Cooper Kupp leads the Rams and the NFL with 74 catches and 1,019 yards. Beckham was expected to give the Sean McVay’s offense a dynamic trio. But now, the new receiver, who signed with the team after the Browns released him earlier this week, must take on a larger role as the Rams make a push for their second Super Bowl appearance since 2018.
