COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - If you need to get your fill of goetta, you'll want to "goetta" on over to the 18th annual MainStrasse Village Original Goettafest in Covington Sunday for the final day of the event.
Goetta is a breakfast staple in the Tri-State. It was brought to the region by early German immigrants, and Goettafest is celebrating that heritage with their innovative offerings, including goetta quesadillas, Goetta 'Chedda' sandwiches, Go-Goettas.
The festival spans two blocks of the Sixth Street Promenade. There will also be arts and crafts, music, entertainment and children's activities available. You can also enjoy the shops and bars located in MainStrasse Village.
There's free parking for the event at the IRS building at Fourth and Johnson streets.
