Following the 41-16 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 9, several Bengals players, including D.J. Reader, said confidently they believe they will come out of the bye week a much better team. If the Bengals want to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015, they'll have to get back to playing better on defense and eliminate turnovers on offense.

The Bengals have one of the most explosive passing attacks in the league and believe they haven't played their best game yet as an offense.
Offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said Cincinnati needs to be better on third down as they have one of the highest 3-and-out percentages in the NFL.

Defensively, the amount of missed tackles and lack of physicality up front in the recent two losses seems uncharacteristic after the first seven weeks. We'll see which Bengals defense returns following the bye.
