The Xavier Musketeers will begin the 2021-22 season Tuesday night when they face the Niagara Purple Eagles.
Xavier is coming off of a 13-8 season in 2020-21 and is attempting to make its first NCAA Tournament since 2018. It would be the first NCAA Tournament for the Musketeers under fourth-year head coach Travis Steele.
Former Duke Blue Devils star Greg Paulus is in his third season as head coach at Niagara. The Purple Eagles finished 9-11 last year and haven't qualified for the NCAA Tournament since 2007.
