The Cincinnati Bearcats' 28-20 Homecoming win Saturday against Tulsa at Nippert Stadium likely didn't impress the style-point police or College Football Playoff selection committee. To make matters worse, there was added concern about running back Jerome Ford, UC's leading rusher this season who left during the second quarter with a leg injury.
The Enquirer's Keith Jenkins reported Tuesday afternoon via Twitter that UC head coach Luke Fickell isn't sure about Ford's availability for Friday night's game against South Florida in Tampa:
Ford had 24 rushing yards on seven carries with a touchdown before leaving the game against Tulsa.
Ford is the Bearcats' leading rusher this season with 888 rushing yards on 142 carries with 15 touchdowns on the ground. He also has 15 catches for 169 yards with one receiving touchdown.
