The city of Lawrenceburg will be kicking off the holiday season by opening its ice skating rink this weekend.Lawrenceburg's Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, which is a covered outdoor skating rink, will open on Saturday and will remain open through Jan. 9.The ice rink is located at Todd Creech Park at 305 W. Tate Street in Lawrenceburg.The ice skating rink is suited for all ages. It has a protective roof over the rink, a fire pit for warming cold hands, indoor restrooms and skate distribution.Santa Claus will be visiting the rink on Dec. 11.Tickets include the cost of skate rental and a one-hour skate session that begins at the top of each hour.
