Bengals’ Brandon Wilson, carted off with knee injury, tore ACL

Brandon Wilson, in his fifth season with the Cincinnati Bengals and his third as the team's primary kick returner, was carted off the field with a left knee injury after being tackled at the end of a return in the second quarter Sunday against the Cleveland Browns at Paul Brown Stadium.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Monday that Wilson tore his ACL.

The injury happened on Wilson's second kick return of the game and 13th of the season. Darius Phillips, the Bengals' primary punt returner, entered Sunday with two kick returns this season, and returned the kickoffs that followed Wilson's injury.

Wilson has had a kick return for a touchdown each of the past two seasons.

Cleveland went on to a 41-16 win to improve to 5-4 this season and drop the Bengals to 5-4.
