Two pedestrians have died after being struck in Hyde Park Monday morning, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
A man and woman, in their 70s, were struck while crossing the street, Cincinnati police said.
The crash happened on Linwood Avenue between Monteith and Cryer avenues around 8:30 a.m. The Hamilton County Coroner arrived at around 10 a.m.
Police say that Linwood Avenue between Monteith and Cryer will be closed until 11:30 a.m.
The man was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died from his injuries. The woman died at the scene, Cincinnati Police said.
The driver stayed on the scene and is being investigated by the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit.
