Tulsa’s Davis Brin, Cincinnati’s Wilson Huber and the late QB slide

Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin goes into a slide short of the goal line as Cincinnati Bearcats linebacker Wilson Huber approaches late in the fourth quarter of UC's 28-20 win Saturday at Nippert Stadium.

When Tulsa had a 3rd-and-goal at the Cincinnati Bearcats' 1-yard line with 51 seconds left Saturday at Nippert Stadium and Golden Hurricane quarterback Davis Brin failed to get into the end zone, much of the focus on social media was on Brin's slide as UC linebacker Wilson Huber approached.

Huber - who also stopped Tulsa running back Shamari Brooks one play earlier on 2nd-and-goal - closed quickly on Brin, but many thought a dive or lowering of the shoulder from Brin would've given Tulsa a late touchdown, with a two-point conversion needed to tie the game at 28.

With ESPN's "College GameDay" on UC's campus for the first time, the Bearcats held on for a 28-20 win - recovering a fumble in the end zone on the next play - but running back Jerome Ford was injured.
