When do we fall back? Prepare for daylight saving time 2021

The mornings are darker and you might be wondering when to "fall back" this year.

Beginning at 2 a.m. Nov. 7, you'll need to set your clocks back one hour, meaning –  bonus! –  you'll gain an extra hour of sleep.

Why do we have daylight saving time?

In 1966, Congress passed the Uniform Time Act, which standardized the length of daylight saving time, which runs from March to November.

Daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday of March each year and ends on the first Sunday of November.
