What does that mean? Does that mean no COVID?' And it's like, 'Yeah that means hopefully no COVID for you,'" she said.We talked with a mother and daughter who waited three hours for a dose at Cincinnati Children's Hospital on Wednesday evening.Hospital officials told WLWT 456 vaccines were given, with 430 going to kids ages five to 11 years old.Of all vaccines, 334 were walk-ins, according to a spokesman.On Thursday night, more than 200 were vaccinated, the hospital said.Children's Liberty Campus only accepted walk-ins for an hour because of demand.Children's Hospital recommends parents check with primary care providers, too.UC Health is offering the smaller doses by appointment.Kroger said it is administering doses to this group and encourages appointments.Walgreens said immunizations begin Saturday in thousands of stores.CVS Health said it will start offering doses at select locations on Sunday.Hunseder is relieved her family will celebrate Christmas vaccinated together."I don't know if we know what normal is anymore, but just to get as close to normal as we possibly can, that's all I can hope for," she said.Cincinnati Children's Hospital said walk-ins will be accepted at the Burnet Campus again on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m.It said walk-ins are accepted between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. during weekday clinics.The next clinic at the Liberty Campus is next Monday.The next clinic at the Green Township Outpatient Center is next Tuesday.
