In a vote that ended Nov. 5, Cincinnati.com readers selected the Cincinnati Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Mercy Health, from high school sports action through Oct. 31.
Winners through Oct. 1 should have received a certificate through the school's athletic department. The next round will come out in mid-November.

Here are this week's top choices.
Ohio football team: Bethel-Tate – Bethel-Tate cruised in the Region 16 bracket, shutting out Shroder 44-0.
Northern Kentucky football team: East Central – East Central doubled up Mooresville 52-26, advancing to the sectional finals in Indiana’s Class 4A.
Boys fall team: St. Xavier cross country – The Bombers advanced to the state race after finishing second in the Division I regional meet.
Girls fall team: Mount Notre Dame field hockey – The Cougars beat Oakwood 1-0 on Oct. 30 to e regional champs and advance to the state tournament.
Ohio boys big school cross country runner: Evan Trapp, St. Xavier – Trapp and last week’s winner Will Goodrich led the Bombers to a second-place finish in the Division I regional meet Oct. 30 when Trapp placed eighth with a time of 16:35.3, helping St. Xavier advance to the state meet as a team.
Ohio boys small school cross country runner: Sam Gutzwiller, Fenwick – He advanced to the state meet after placing 15th in the Division II regional meet Oct. 30 with a time of 17:17.9.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana boys cross country runner: Dixon Ryan, St. Henry – The junior finished second in the 1A state championship and led the Crusaders to the team championship, the first since 2012.
Ohio girls big school cross country runner: Jessie Gibbins, Loveland – She led Loveland to a Division I team title when she placed fourth in the regional meet with a time of 19:15.7.
Ohio girls small school cross country runner: Jessica Sanders, Finneytown - She advances to the Division II state meet as an individual after finishing 10th with a time of 20:34.9 in the regional meet Oct. 30.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana girls cross country runner: Isabel Ginter, Beechwood – The freshman finished eighth in the 1A state championship to lead the Tigers to fourth place in the team standings.
Ohio DI football player, big school: Alex Kemper, St. Xavier – He had three tackles and a 49-yard pick-six as St. Xavier rolled Hamilton, 37-7.
Ohio DII football player, big school: Jaylen Grant, La Salle – Grant ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns in La Salle's 42-14 win over Harrison.
Ohio football player, small school: Mikey Molloy, Bethel-Tate – He ran for 246 yards and a touchdown on 23 attempts in Bethel-Tate's 44-0 win over Shroder.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana football player: Josh Ringer, East Central – After missing most of the season with an injury, he rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns, and had two catches for 56 yards in the Trojans’ playoff 52-26 win over Mooresville which avenged playoff losses in the previous two seasons.
Big school boys soccer player: Aiden Hemmer, Covington Catholic – The senior was named all-tournament in helping the Colonels finish as state runner-up.
Small school boys soccer player: Evan Farrell, Mariemont — Farrell scored two goals and added an assist as Mariemont routed Yellow Springs in the district championship on Saturday, winning 5-0.
Big school girls soccer player: Caitlin Evans, Milford – The sophomore defender scored her second goal of the season on Monday against Anderson. Evans’ goal set Milford up to reach extra time, where it won and advanced to the district championship.
Small school girls soccer player: Alexis Taylor, Wyoming – Taylor scored twice in three shots-on-goal in Wyoming’s 3-2 win over Tipp City in the district championship on Thursday.
Ohio big school volleyball player: Kenzie Cogan, Mount Notre Dame – The sophomore had 36 digs and 8 aces in wins over Lebanon and Oak Hills last week.
Ohio small school volleyball player: Sophia Ramirez, Summit Country Day – Ramirez tallied 10 kills, 11 digs and a block in Summit Country Day’s three-set sweep against Indian Hill on Wednesday in the district tournament.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana volleyball player: Peyton Mast, Notre Dame – She was an all-tournament selection for Notre Dame in the Ninth Region tournament and was one of their top players in the regional final loss to St. Henry.
