Days after Cincinnati firefighters extinguished a fire at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse, the location remained closed over the weekend due to "mechanical issues," according to a tweet from the restaurant.
According to an automated message when calling the Montgomery Inn Boathouse, the restaurant is expected to reopen Nov. 9.
The fire began around 9:18 p.m. Oct. 27, and was largely contained to the ductwork in the restaurant's kitchen, Cincinnati Fire Department Chief Michael Washington said.
Washington said he was at the restaurant attending a charity event when the fire broke out. Just 10 minutes after it began, officials said in a tweet that the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
