Ryan Day says Jerron Cage carried ball like loaf of bread on TD return

Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle Jerron Cage (86) recovers a fumble and scores a touchdown against Penn State Nittany Lions during the second quarter of their game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on October 30, 2021.

Former Winton Woods High School standout Jerron Cage's 57-yard fumble return for a touchdown late in the first half helped the fifth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes to a 33-24 win Saturday night against the 20th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.

OSU head coach Ryan Day said after the game that he was impressed with the senior defensive tackle's ball security during his return, as he carried "the ball like a loaf of bread."

It was Cage's first touchdown and second fumble recovery as a Buckeye.
