A Butler County grand jury has indicted a Middletown woman accused of shooting her sister on a murder charge.
Monica Pennington, 48, also faces two counts of assault – one for using a deadly weapon and the other for causing serious physical harm.
Middletown police say Monica Pennington shot Pamela Pennington, 52, in their home at 1607 Lafayette Ave. on Oct. 20.
Pamela Pennington died after being transported to the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.
Monica Pennington is being held at the Middletown City Jail on a $100,000 bond, a jail official said.
