Bengals rout Ravens, 41-17, to move into first-place tie in AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) drops back to throw in the first quarter of the NFL Week 7 game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. The Bengals led 13-10 at halftime.

Sunday's 41-17 win against the Ravens in Baltimore to propel the Cincinnati Bengals into a first-place tie in the AFC North was a departure from recent history between the two teams.

Baltimore had won its last three games against the Bengals by a combined score of 114-19.

Sunday was different, as C.J. Uzomah scored twice, the Bengals' defense surpassed its 2020 season sack total and the Ravens had a tough time stopping the Joe-Burrow-to-Ja'Marr-Chase connection.

Fourth-quarter touchdown runs by Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine delivered the knockout blows to propel the Bengals - and drop the Ravens - to 5-2 this season.

Burrow finished the Week  rout of the Ravens with a career-best 416 passing yards, and didn't play all of the fourth quarter.
