A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in West Chester Saturday afternoon, according to West Chester police.
Police responded to the railroad tracks along State Route 747 after multiple calls were made to dispatch regarding a man struck by a train.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
Officials said State Route 747 will be blocked for some time due to the ongoing investigation.
