Brynne Rhodes, 12, will once again break out her pitchers, mix her ingredients and raise money in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. But there is a reason behind this 12-year-old's activism: Her mother.In 2016, when Brynne was just 7 years old, her mother, Kim, was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.Brynne was moved by not just her mother's resilience, but the resilience of the many other women affected by breast cancer.That's when Brynne asked her mom if she could help. Together, they made a lemonade stand and decided to #TurnItPink and donate all the proceeds to breast cancer research.The mother and daughter duo made strides but had bigger aspirations to make this a national movement. That's when NBC's "Today" reached out to help spread the message.Now in 2021, the mother and daughter duo want to place their pink lemonade stands in all 50 states.
