Cincinnati Bengals rout Detroit Lions, 34-11, move to 4-2

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) throws a pass in the second quarter of the NFL Week 6 game between the Detroit Lions and the Cincinnati Bengals at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021. The Bengals led 10-0 at halftime.

The Cincinnati Bengals had no trouble keeping the Detroit Lions winless this season, moving to 4-2 with a 34-11 road win behind three touchdown passes from quarterback Joe Burrow - plus another in the fourth quarter from backup Brandon Allen - and an impressive defensive effort to hold the Lions to a field goal and a late TD with the game out of reach.

With his third-quarter touchdown pass to Joe Mixon, Joe Burrow joined Dan Marino as the only QB in his first or second NFL season to throw for multiple touchdowns in each of his team's first six games of the season.

In addition, Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson had his fourth interception of the season. Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson gave Lions first-rounder Penei Sewell all he could handle. And running back Chris Evans scored his first NFL touchdown.
