Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris Evans (25) and wide receiver Tyler Boyd (83) celebrate the Evans touchdown in the first quarter of the NFL Week 6 game between the Detroit Lions and the Cincinnati Bengals at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021. The Bengals led 10-0 at halftime.

Samaje Perine has been Joe Mixon's backup all season and was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday and was unable to play. Evans made the most of his opportunities and it's likely he'll earn more playing time moving forward because of it.
