Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow on voice rest after throat injury

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow typically addresses the media on Wednesday's ahead of the upcoming game. After being taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a possible throat contusion on Sunday night, Burrow was unable to talk to reporters because he has been advised to talk as little as possible at the moment. Head coach Zac Taylor said his quarterback is on "voice rest."

Burrow won't be limited in practice due to his throat conditions and according to wide receiver Tee Higgs, he sounded and acted normal when he was in the huddle during the walk-through period.

"Everything is going good," Taylor said of Burrow.  "We're just trying to limit what he has to say and how he's going to use his voice. It kind of works out because we're going on the road and dome will be loud. One of the ways to manufacture what it's going to be like in the huddle is to whisper in the huddle. He's on voice rest a little bit and we still get something accomplished with what we're going to face in Detroit."
