How October temperatures measure up to past years

It's certainly been a warm October in Greater Cincinnati, but how does it measure up to temperatures from preceding years? 

The National Weather Service keeps records of the highs, lows and average temperatures of previous months, so we thought we'd look at how this month  measures up to past Octobers.

Here's what we found.

Has October 2021 been warmer than normal?

The first half of the month tends to stay on the warmer side, with temperatures cooling off in the latter days of October across Cincinnati, according to the NWS.

So far, October 2021 in Greater Cincinnati has been warmer than in previous years, with an average temperature of 69.7 degrees. In comparison, 2020 during the same time period had an average temperature of 60.4.
