Police and firefighters responded to a crane collapse in Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday morning.Orlando fire officials say two people were treated at the scene and one person was hospitalized with a "traumatic injury." Orlando Health officials say the patient that was transported to the hospital suffered injuries due to some debris.A nearby dashcam belonging to Brett M. They said there are usually several people on the ground near it.Rescue crews evacuated and evaluated several more workers then began the work of evaluating the property."Once the area is deemed safe, the investigation will occur. Authorities who have jurisdiction over that will take that over. We won't make any speculations about what caused it. Our main concern is making sure we've done everything we need to do make sure the area is safe," Orlando Fire Department special operations district chief Aaron Rhodes said.Rhodes adds it's fortunate only the crane collapsed at the site."The reality is we didn't have a complete and total failure of the building which would've been a whole different incident." he said.AdventHealth released the following statement:"Earlier today, a construction crane on the greater AdventHealth Orlando campus collapsed into a parking garage under construction. One person was transported to a hospital and several others were evaluated on-scene. We are working with our construction partners to learn more." Finnrock, the construction company running the project, sent in engineers to figure out what happened and what to do next.Sister station WESH spoke with the CEO of the company but he wasn't able to share any details about the cause. He said the company's focus would be on its employees and figuring out what he called a very "complex situation."
