Shooting on Short Vine near UC leaves three injured, police say

Police say three people were injured after an argument turned into a shooting near the University of Cincinnati.

Cincinnati police say three people were injured Saturday night in a shooting near the University of Cincinnati's campus.

The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Short Vine Street in Corryville.

Police at the scene were unable to say exactly when the incident took place. The university issued an alert around 8:30 p.m. warning students to stay away from the area.

A male and female, who have not been identified, got into an argument and opened fire on one another, police said, adding that both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said the owner of a local restaurant, Steak & Lemonade, was grazed by a stray bullet.

All of the victims were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, according to police.
