As the final drives soared and putts fell on Saturday, high school golf in Kentucky came to its end.
The KHSAA Girls' State Championship finished up Wednesday while the boys wrapped up on Saturday. In total, three Northern Kentucky teams secured top 10 finishes.
The Cooper girls finished No. 5 in the state while on the boys side, Ryle was No. 4 and Highlands came in at No. 9.
Cooper senior Rylan Wotherspoon, last season's Mr. Golf winner, shot a five-over par 149 to finish tied for 13th place in the state. Wotherspoon was 10 strokes behind Louisville Christian Academy's Matthew Troutman who won at five-under par 139.
Eva Maley from Cooper finished tied for 15th in the girls individual leaderboard, shooting a 14-over par 158 over two days at Bowling Green Country Club. Maley's teammate Reagan Ramage was just behind in a 20th-place tie with her 17-over 161. K.J. Toole from Highlands was 20-over par and was tied for 29th place.
