The Green Bay Packers agreed to terms Thursday morning on a one-year deal with linebacker Jaylon Smith, according to multiple reports.
Smith, who had played for the Cowboys since they selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, was released earlier this week by Dallas.
Smith, 26, suffered a career-threatening knee injury - including ligament tears and nerve damage - during the 2016 Fiesta Bowl, his final game at Notre Dame.
Smith was a 2019 Pro Bowl selection.
The Packers have not announced Smith's signing. It is not known whether he might play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
