Twitter beef that escalated earlier this month between MLB Network's Jon Heyman and free-agent starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, who won the National League Cy Young Award for the Cincinnati Reds this past season, resumed Tuesday night as Bauer and his agent, Rachel Luba, tweeted that Heyman's statement that Luba declined comment about negotiations involving Bauer wasn't accurate.
Bauer replied to a tweet from Heyman earlier this month suggesting that he "is too expensive for Reds" and "will be pitching elsewhere next year" by asking whether it was "just more fake news."
The Enquirer's Bobby Nightengale wrote last week about how to make sense of all of the Reds' trade rumors this offseason.
