In a vote that ended Jan. 1, Cincinnati.com readers selected winners for the Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the Week, presented by Mercy Health, for the Dec. 21-27 voting period.
Winners will receive a certificate, sent through the school's athletic department, after the end of the season.

You do not have to be a subscriber to vote, a period that lasts Monday evenings to 5 p.m. each Friday during the season. Please submit any nominees by Sunday evening for the previous week's performances to [email protected].
This week's winners are:
Winter team, boys: Milford wrestling – Milford faced Moeller and Batavia on Dec. 23 and left with two ins to keep its season perfect. Milford edged Moeller 39-35 before a 48-29 win against Batavia.
Winter team, girls: New Richmond bowling – New Richmond improved to 4-1 in-conference, topping Western Brown 1908-1432. Emily, Lindsey and Andrea Fischer each scored over 300 in the win.
Boys basketball player, big school: Greg Johnson, Princeton – He had 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the 65-58 loss to Fairfield Dec. 22.
Boys basketball player, small school: Kyle Smith, Bethel-Tate – Smith returned for Bethel-Tate against Oyler and helped with 19 points and 13 rebounds, one of three double-doubles for Smith in 2020.
Girls basketball player, big school: K.K.Bransford, Mount Notre Dame – Bransford scored over 20 points for the fourth time, scoring 21 points when MND beat East Central 58-45, improving to 8-0.
Girls basketball player, small school: Alli Stolz, Bethel-Tate – Stolz grabbed over 20 rebounds and scored over 20 points twice during the week. Stolz scored 21 points and had 26 boards on Dec. 21 against Western Brown. She followed on Dec. 23 with 22 rebounds and 25 points, scoring more than half of Bethel-Tate’s total of 48.
Boys bowler: Max Pizzo, Oak Hills – The sophomore had his best two-game series of the year against Northwest, leading Oak Hills with a 409. Pizzo had the high-game 221.
Girls bowler: Emily Fischer, New Richmond – Fischer had the high series in a win over Western Brown, bowling a 373.
Boys swimmer/diver: Nathan Spetz, Lakota West – The freshman won the 100 and the 200 freestyle in the dual meet with Oak Hills on Dec. 21.
Girls swimmer/diver: Ellie Cox, Oak Hills – She swam the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.43 to win the even for Oak Hills against Lakota West.
Boys wrestler: Wesley Prather, Milford – Prather went 2-0 with two pins in a tri-match with Moeller and Batavia on Dec. 23.
Girls wrestler: Molly Hudler, Harrison – In her first time at the Ruberg Classic, Hudler walked away with the 160-pound championship, including two pins.
