A Butler County grand jury indicted a Westwood woman in a crash that caused the death of a w-year-old girl in West Chester. The crash happened July 25, 2021, on I-75 southbound near the Tylersville Road exit.A West Chester police report said Denisha Chaney, 30, was driving at a high rate of speed in the left lane. It says she tried to slow down for traffic but drove off the left side of the road. It says she then crossed all lanes of traffic until the driver of a semi collided with the passenger side of Chaney's car. It says a blood-alcohol test came back with a .192 value, and drug tests are pending.The crash report says West Chester EMS transported Chaney to UC West Chester with a minor injury. Aniyan Amoako, 2, who was in a rear-facing car seat in Chaney's back passenger seat, later died. The report says West Chester EMS took the toddler to Cincinnati Children's. It shows the girl lived in the same Montana Avenue apartment as Chaney, but police have not confirmed their relationship. The report says the driver of the semi was not injured.Today, a Butler County grand jury indicted Chaney on seven felony charges and two misdemeanors. They include aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, and endangering children.The Butler County sheriff issued a warrant for Chaney's arrest. She is not in custody tonight. The court clerk's website does not have a date listed for an initial appearance.
