Jalen Reynolds looks forward to facing Kaiser Gates in Israel

Former Xavier Musketeers forward Jalen Reynolds is returning to Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, and told Joshua Halickman in a sportsrabbi.com interview that he's looking forward to playing against former XU teammate Kaiser Gates, who signed with Hapoel Jerusalem earlier this month.

Xavier's Jalen Reynolds, right, chest-bumps Kaiser Gates after Gates was fouled in the 2nd half by Villanova at the Cintas Center Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Xavier beat No. 1 Villanova 90-83.

Reynolds on Gates, from Halickman's interview with Reynolds:

That’s my guy. Everybody has their own paths but when we get together its like we never left. He is the definition of hard work. He is going to shock the world. He is such a good player and he was never given his opportunity but you got to start from the bottom and work your way up. Nothing in this world is easy and they’re damn sure not going to give it to you for free. That kid can play, he’s strong, athletic, can shoot and run the floor. He’s smart and he’s a good player, I am looking forward to playing against him.
