Cincinnati Bengals DT Mike Daniels tests positive for COVID-19

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Mike Daniels (76) tackles Los Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson (22) in the first quarter during a Week 1 NFL football game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without their starting defensive tackle in Sunday's season finale.

Defensive tackle Mike Daniels tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a source. The team is placing him on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. He won't be available when the Bengals host the Baltimore Ravens.

NFL Media was the first to report the news.

The Bengals are undergoing contact tracing to determine if anybody else may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Daniels started in 11 games this season with the Bengals. He tallied 17 tackles, five pressures and one quarterback hit.

The Bengals signed Daniels to a one-year deal in August. The ninth-year veteran spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Detroit Lions in 2019. He is set to be a free agent after the season.
