Sam Sloman, a rookie kicker the Tennessee Titans elevated earlier this week from the practice squad because Stephen Gostkowski was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, made a game-winning, 37-yard field goal as time expired in a 41-38 victory Sunday against the Houston Texans.
Sloman's kick hit the upright before passing through. A seventh-round pick of the Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft, Sloman won the starting job but was released by Los Angeles after seven games. The Titans signed Sloman to their practice squad in November.
