Any concerns regarding a trap game that was sandwiched between the Crosstown Shootout and Saturday's Big East Conference opener were dispelled early on Wednesday night at Cintas Center.
Xavier steamrolled Morehead State, 86-63, for its sixth consecutive win in a game that felt like it was over in the blink of an eye when the Musketeers closed the first half on a 20-4 run, running to the locker room with a 47-19 lead.
It was the third game in a row that Xavier's scored more than 80 points and held its opponent under 64 points.
Special feature: A look at Xavier's offense through the mind of Travis Steele
Behind maybe its most balanced attack of the season, Xavier had 25 assists on 29 made field goals.
Jerome Hunter (15), Colby Jones (14), Jack Nunge (13) and Adam Kunkel (12) all scored in double figures.
Xavier went 11-of-24 from 3-point range and 17-of-18 from the foul line.
