Paraguay’s Daysy Bareiro was carted off against USWNT with back injury

Update: Paraguay's Daysy Bareiro is "fine" albeit "a little sore" after suffering a lower back injury - but no fractures - during the 84th minute of Tuesday night's friendly against the U.S. Women's National Team at Cincinnati's TQL Stadium, according to a U.S. Soccer spokesperson.

The spokesperson added that Bareiro was able to travel home with the team.

Earlier: Soccer fans in attendance at TQL Stadium Tuesday night and those watching the television broadcast of USWNT's 8-0 win against Paraguay expressed concern after Bareiro was injured.

Medical officials attended to Bareiro, 20, for several minutes before she was carted off the field on a stretcher, with her neck stabilized.
