Mason's Two Cities Pizza is perhaps best known for its New York and Chicago-style pizza but now it's also known for something else – restrooms.
Cintas Corp., which is headquartered in Cincinnati, announced Tuesday that Two Cities Pizza is the winner of the 2021 "America's Best Restroom" contest after a public vote that ran earlier in the summer.
When Two Cities Pizza was announced as one of the 10 finalists for the contest in July, Cintas described the restaurant and its restrooms as "nothing short of an experience."
The restrooms are New York City subway-themed, with a subway platform, train car, station stops playing over the speaker, authentic subway handles above the sinks and graffiti on the walls.
As the winner, the Two Cities Pizza will receive a Cintas UltraClean restroom cleaning service, $2,500 in Cintas products and services and most importantly, a spot in the best restroom hall of fame.
Two Cities Pizza was the only restroom location near Cincinnati and in the state to be nominated for the award. Other nominees for best restroom included John F. Kennedy International Airport's Terminal 4 in New York City, Planet Word in Washington, D.C., Pump House in Kannapolis, North Carolina and The Fed Community in Clarkston, Michigan.
Bancroft Park Colorado Springs, Colorado, won the coveted award last year, and America's Best Restroom was awarded to the Nashville Zoo in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019.
