Booster shot watch
We're expecting to find out more this week about when Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine booster shots will be available.
On Friday, a committee that advises the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended boosters for people age 65 and older and those at high risk of severe COVID-19.
The FDA is expected to decide on the recommendation in the next few days. A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention committee that determines how vaccines are used will meet about the matter on Wednesday and Thursday.
Ohio and Cincinnati healthcare providers are preparing for when a decision is made.
Good news for the Western Hills Viaduct
Transportation officials on Tuesday will vote on a slew of road and bridge projects, not the least of which is a new Western Hills Viaduct.
Last week, the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority's infrastructure committee released its plans for the sales tax increase approved by voters in May 2020. The viaduct made the list, but SORTA's board needs to approve the agenda.
The aging viaduct, which leaders have talked about fixing for a decade, is one of the area's most significant infrastructure needs.

Get to know the next mayor
Cincinnati mayoral candidates David Mann and Aftab Pureval will meet for a debate Tuesday evening at Xavier University.
The debate, sponsored by The Enquirer and Xavier University, is a chance for Mann and Pureval to distinguish themselves during what has been, so far, a low-key race.
You can watch the event on Cincinnati.com's Facebook page.
Soccer stars visit Cincinnati
Soccer star Rose Lavelle returns to Cincinnati on Tuesday as the United States Women's National Soccer Team takes on Paraguay in a friendly match at TQL Stadium.
The team's fifth visit to the city comes before qualifying for the 2023 World Cup, where they're planning to defend their 2019 title.
Tuesday's match will also be one of Carli Lloyd's last. She's retiring next month.

Is this the Reds last homestand?
The Reds hope this Sunday isn't their last home game of the season.
The team is currently locked in a tight race for the National League Wild Card game. If they fail, Sunday's game against the Nationals will be their last home appearance this season.
