Leslie Frazier, assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, will interview for the Houston Texans' head coaching vacancy, according to multiple reports Monday.
Frazier was the Cincinnati Bengals' defensive coordinator in 2003 and 2004. He was the Minnesota Vikings' head coach from 2011 to 2013.
The Bills defeated the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday - their first playoff win since 1995 - to advance to a Divisional Round showdown Saturday night with the Baltimore Ravens.
Last week, reports indicated that Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson pushed for the team to interview Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator and former Bengals player Eric Bieniemy for the vacancy. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he endorsed Bieniemy in a conversation with Watson.
The Texans didn't interview Bieniemy before the initial interview window for him closed Sunday as several other teams did, but reportedly did request an interview with Bieniemy this week. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday via Twitter that Houston can't interview him until the Chiefs lose in the playoffs or after the Super Bowl, whichever comes first.
