This year's Homearama in Anderson Township will feature the usual array of million-dollar homes - plus luxury dwellings for pampered pets.
Four custom-built dog houses with outdoor decks, retractable food bowl holders and spacious bedroom areas, among other amenities, will be on display throughout the show, which opens Saturday in Anderson Township’s Parkside Estates development at 8010 Parkside Lake Drive.
The opulent dog houses were built by construction students from the Scarlet Oaks trade school in Sharonville and will be up for auction until the home show ends Oct. 3.
Bids on the stylish homes for your four-legged friends can be placed at CincyHomearama.com/dog-house-auction-homearama-2021.
“The dog houses have come together with help from local sponsors, material suppliers and students,'' said Dan Dressman, executive director of the Cincinnati Home Builders Association (CHBA). “We love having the next generation of construction professionals involved with Homearama in this meaningful way.”
The dog houses were finished and furnish by several businesses that acted as design partners and customized the dog houses to fit their theme.
The design partners included MoonDoggie LIVERee kayak rental service; Dead Low Brewing and the Anderson Art Collective.
The 58th annual Homearama will feature five show homes starting at about $1 million.
Four of the five show homes were presold at prices just above $1.3 million, according to the CHBA.
