The Reds are tied with the Padres in the wild-card standings

The Cincinnati Reds remained in a tie with the San Diego Padres in the National League wild-card standings despite losing Saturday night to the Cardinals in St. Louis, as the Padres fell 5-4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers later in the evening.

The Reds have 19 games remaining in the 2021 Major League Baseball season. The Padres have 21 games left.

The Reds are 75-68. The Padres are 74-67. The Reds wrap up a three-game series in St. Louis on Sunday. The Padres face the Dodgers again Sunday in their series finale.

The St. Louis Cardinals trail the Reds and Padres by 2 games after their win Saturday. The Philadelphia Phillies also won, and trail both teams by 2 1/2 games. And the New York Mets trail Cincinnati and San Diego by 4 games.
