The basketball teams at Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina have all fallen out of the Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll for the first time since December 18, 1961.
The Wildcats dropped to 4-8 and 3-2 in the Southeastern Conference after a loss to Auburn Saturday. The Blue Devils are 5-3 and 3-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, having lost to Virginia Tech in their last game on Jan. 12. The Tar Heels dropped to 8-5 and 3-3 in the ACC after losing to Florida State Saturday.
Gonzaga topped the latest AP Poll, released Monday, with Baylor, Villanova and Iowa rounding out the top four teams.

Kentucky and Duke both entered the AP Poll, back when it was only a Top 10, on Dec. 25, 1961.
The teams resume play this week with Duke travelling to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Kentucky travelling to Georgia Wednesday and North Carolina hosting Wake Forest Wednesday.
