Gas prices hit 7-year high in U.S. Where to find cheapest in Cincinnati

High gas prices are posted at a full service gas station in Beverly Hills, Calif., Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline jumped by 5 cents over the past two weeks, to $3.49 per gallon.

Nationwide, the average gas price has increased from last week and customers are seeing higher prices at the pump as the holidays and heavy travel days creep closer.

According to GasBuddy, the average gas price around the U.S. has increased 1.8 cents from a week ago, standing at $3.41 per gallon as of Nov. 8. The national average is up 15.1 cents from a month ago, and $1.31 from a year ago. 

The last time prices hit this mark was in September 2014, AAA reported. 

Around Cincinnati as of Monday, prices rose 16.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging at $3.32 per gallon. Prices were 22.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.22 per gallon higher than a year go.
