Nationwide, the average gas price has increased from last week and customers are seeing higher prices at the pump as the holidays and heavy travel days creep closer.
According to GasBuddy, the average gas price around the U.S. has increased 1.8 cents from a week ago, standing at $3.41 per gallon as of Nov. 8. The national average is up 15.1 cents from a month ago, and $1.31 from a year ago.
The last time prices hit this mark was in September 2014, AAA reported.
Around Cincinnati as of Monday, prices rose 16.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging at $3.32 per gallon. Prices were 22.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.22 per gallon higher than a year go.
As of Wednesday, GasBuddy reported the cheapest gas stations around Cincinnati at Costco and Sam's Club in Florence at $2.82 per gallon. Both BP and Speedway in Florence were reported at $2.88 per gallon. Sunoco in Florence and Speedway in West Chester both reported prices Wednesday at $2.92 per gallon.
Costco and Sam's Club fuel stations are open only to members.
The gas prices were compiled by GasBuddy from more than 11 million individual price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
The cost for diesel has also increased: 1.7 cents in the last week, now standing at an average of $3.63 per gallon..

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, said that the country should see "small declines this week in a majority of the country, thanks to the corresponding drop in wholesale gasoline prices."
He added that he does not see a large decline or surge coming up to Thanksgiving, but demand for gas in the U.S. remains strong.
GasBuddy reported the states with the lowest average prices are Oklahoma at $3.00, Arkansas at $3.06 and Texas at $3.06. The states with the highest average prices are California at $4.60, Hawaii at $4.27 and Nevada at $3.94.
