Man accused of stealing World Series ring from Reds Mike Moustakas


Cincinnati police have filed a warrant against a man accused of stealing $150,000 worth of jewelry, including a World Series ring, from Reds infielder Mike Moustakas.According to court documents, Casey Zang, 23, took Moustakas' World Series ring and ALSC ring, among other pieces of jewelry, last week without his consent. A warrant has been issued for Zang's arrest on a theft charge.It's unclear where it took place but the address listed in the complaint is at The Banks.Moustakas won that ring in the 2015 World Series while playing with the Kansas City Royals. After the Royals, Moustakas went on the play for the Milwaukee Brewers before becoming a free agent.The Reds signed Moustakas to a four-year $64 million deal in 2019, keeping Moustakas with the Reds through the 2023 season. It was the largest free-agent contract in club history.
