Graeter's Elena's Blueberry Pie flavor is back for a limited time.
The ice cream company is hosting its annual "Cones for the Cure" campaign, partnering with The Cure Starts Now to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
During the campaign, which runs Sept. 9 to 19, Sweet Rewards loyalty members on the Graeter's app are eligible for a free single dip sugar cone of Elena's Blueberry Pie. When redeeming the free cone, Graeter's rewards members will also be able donate directly to The Cure Starts Now.
Those who wish to donate and download a free coupon can do that at conesforthecure.org.
The flavor was named in honor of Elena Desserich, the inspiration for The Cure Starts Now.
According to a release, Graeter's has helped the charity raise more than $1.2 million in new cancer research funding and helped fund clinical trials.
“Graeter’s has been such an excellent partner and we feel so blessed that this Cincinnati-based family brand is continuing to support a cause through the uncertainty of this year,” said Keith Desserich, co-founder and chairman of the board at The Cure Starts Now.
